hi pragmatik,
I did see this movie and was splendid(The movie was similar to that of "the saint"). The way he takes measures for all his actions is amazing - like splintering the gas house with a paper in a toaster, the way of telling that the girl in france is standing right next to her, the way he taps mobile phone calls - but there was one thing that I was not able to digest - was the need for him to apologise to the russian politician's daughter for his murder crime ...

I thought the writers were pulling on a theme in Russian literature, namely, repentance. But then again, I guess that doesn't make sense, since he is not who he was before. Perhaps he was must putting to rest his past in a small way.
