I woke up (very late) today to some unexpected snow in Southern Illinois. In my short time in this area, I've found that winter weather seems to miss us here -- of course, with the exception of that big snow-storm that gave Carbondale a white Christmas while I was in Baltimore.
I grabbed a photo or two quickly. The balcony was covered a little, but most of it has blown away. Of course, I hope I'm wrong about my winter-weather-predictions and that it snows a hell of a lot this winter. I miss Boston and Baltimore, the latter of which is being blanketed today and tomorrow in fluffy white flakes.

Unexpected snow.
