Life Aquatic DVD date, very early.

You heard it here first. The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou will be released on DVD May 10th, in two formats: a normal disc and a two-disc special edition with all of the goodies we Wes Anderson fans savor. I heard a rumor that it's another Criterion Collection edition (which Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums both were, along with Kevin Smith's underestimated Chasing Amy, definitely my favorite Kevin Smith film). Which would be even better. Of course, this is only if you are one of those people who watched the "DVD extras" for films you really like. Which I am. I know, I watch too many movies. And now I'm off to see Constantine.

THE LIFE AQUATIC is great! I don't understand why some of Anderson's fans don't like it. It's not a RUSHMORE sequal, but what good would that be? I liked it, and we do share some tastes, you and I. I think you'd dig it.

CONSTANTINE was also good. I'd recommend it for sure. More on that one soon.

Hm, Life Aquatic intrigued me, but I don't know about Constantine. Anything with Keanu Reeves is out the window. I don't know why I have such a strong inclination to hate him, but I do- and therefore have to choose movies accordingly. But on a positive note- maybe I ought to see Life Aquatic before it's out of the theatres.

Yeah, I think Reeves is an actor of questionable talent (can't shake the Bill and Ted memories!). But he does wind up in some pretty good movies (the first MATRIX!). Like the MATRIX, though, it was a great film in spite of casting Keanu. The music was really good:)
